Facing Fear…

I was speaking with a loved one earlier today, as she spoke of the fears that continue to encourage her personal/spiritual growth – I could relate.

Facing fear is empowering! At times, it can be an on-going challenge. Repetitive challenges beckon our attention.

As we face our fears, we create a space of understanding and wisdom – enhancing our ability to overcome its debilitating influence.

We all have fears, it’s a part of our human make-up. I do not believe that fear will cease its role in daily living – such is the nature of life. I do, however, believe that it is possible to overcome its influence.

Unless fear is attempting to warn us of harm, or some other unhealthy matter – face it! It’s a worthy investment.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” ~Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Thank you for stopping today. Wishing you balance and well-being. ~Storm

  1. I found it really frustrating that my fears grew bigger as i got older, almost haunting. But at the same time, age has also thought me that it’s a product of my imagination, and a part of human nature as you mention. I always wondered if everyone did have some kind of fear, or if it was just me, and if i bring it on to my self. Thanks for posting Storm.. I feel even more free.

  2. Facing our fears diminishes its power over us. I don’t like to be controlled by it so learned early on to call its bluff. I liken it to hearing a lion roaring outside your door and when you open the door to face it, there is a little kitten. Much easier to handle the reality.
