Praying Participants…

Prayer opens a multitude of doors and opportunities through daily encounters, allowing advantage for the thing that is prayed an outlet of manifestation.

We participate in prayer by becoming the thing that is prayed. We are praying participants.

Wishing you balance and wellbeing. ~Storm

I thank God that we’re not bound to live by our experiences alone. Our experiences assist us in learning more about ourselves, and the world around us. Furthermore – our experiences & daily encounters shed light on the beliefs & thoughts that we’ve collected, inherited, chosen to practice – or, the ones that hold us captive…healthy or unhealthy.

We’re each left with the responsibility of searching deep within ourselves – courageously facing & clearing the impact (debris) from experiences that leave us with a poor/false self-image, or – with any feelings of being unloved. In other words – overcoming the harsh impact of experiences that misinterpret our worth is in our charge. This is especially true for those who have survived any form of abuse.

Psychology Today featured an article on the connection between writing & healing: Overcoming Child Abuse ~Reflections on Recovery, by Catherine McCall. I’ve included a link for your {review}.

One of the most rewarding experiences of my life has been the delving into the lies – the impact of abuse – and finding my worth! This arduous move was an act of self-love, one that affirmed – I am not bound to live by my experiences alone.

What are you learning through your experiences? Any harsh memories affecting your self-worth? Are you allowing yourself to heal?

The Silence…

The silence welcomes me into a non-judgemental posture of living & being, separating me from mental activity. Not as though I have no cares – rather, the silence teaches me the beauty of detachment & watchfulness. So I sit…paying close attention to the instruction of silence.

I find it needful to separate myself from the noise of outer influences, from the voices of friends and loved ones. I pray, meditate, breathe deeply and explore new ways in which I can development a more centered place of dwelling!

Within the silence arises the strength to maintain individuality – the wisdom to exist through the labyrinth of daily living.

I welcome the silence, it is the place of preparation – a place of healing, discovery and restoration.

The silence exposes hidden debris & reveals precious finds!

Do you welcome the silence?

Wishing you balance & well-being. ~Storm

Lessons In Wisdom

Wisdom is the inner-voice of Divine guidance, reminding us to do a particular thing…in a particular way. Wisdom can be a whisper of advice, encouraging us to make healthy & beneficial use of what we’ve learned from an experience.

Sometimes we forget significant life lessons, or the moral of the story. When this happens, and it often does when understanding has not taken place, we repeat an experience in order to learn.

Our experiences encourage us to learn…to gain insight. We repeat familiar experiences because we haven’t learned. Perhaps we’re not paying close attention, we didn’t gain the needed knowledge or understanding to break a certain pattern…about ourselves or our choices.

We repeat in order to break the familiar response! We repeat in order to become demonstrators of what we’ve learned – this is wisdom.

“When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul; discretion will preserve you, understanding will keep you…” ~Proverbs 2:10 &11 (NKJV)

What are your lessons in wisdom?

I appreciate your visit. Wishing you balance and well-being. ~Storm

The Inevitable…

Storms of life are an inevitable occurrence. At times, they can seem to be a constant.

Before the inevitable occurs (during), know what you believe and why you believe as you do. Without question, your belief will be the determining factor as to how you will handle the inevitable.

How we choose to handle the inevitable is a matter of perspective, priority and beliefs. ~Life Through The Storm
