Journaling can be a wonderful outlet for self-discovery. According to research, those who journal on a consistent basis have improved their sense of self-awareness, self-esteem and have found other rewarding ways to increase their overall well-being. Journaling paves a way not only for creative writing, it is also a way to gain insight on psychological and spiritual health.

Self expression is a basic need; whether verbal, written or presented in some other form. Journaling is one way to meet that need. Serving as a tool that opens the door-unveiling hidden, un-voiced and un-met emotional needs. We can discover and recover many things about ourselves as we explore journaling-including learning to understand and accept ourselves.

Journaling helps us to capture our feelings…examining how life impacts us. It’s an insightful way of keeping you in touch, well…with you!

After it’s all said and done, journaling allows us to re-define the impact of experiences (stories) that have stolen our worth.

What can you write about? Anything that concerns you. Start with a thought a day, stay consistent with that pattern. Examine the benefits or the lessons that you gain through taking small steps-keep examining. In time your thoughts will flow like water. Just keep writing!

Life has so many hidden riches, I consider journaling to be one of them. I hope that you will find the time to celebrate the wonders from within your being, embracing and gaining new love and respect for who you are.
