Jealousy is the result of inner conflict. Fear and various forms of insecurity can also be culprits. Additionally, having not forgiven the past or ourselves may be at the root.
At other times, envy and all of its destructive properties do an emotional take over, yearning for something that belongs to someone else.
Jealousy destroys the best of spiritual, personal, relational and professional wellbeing. Yet, it often serves as a plea, a reminder…the carrier is neglecting something of worth (mind, body, spirit).
Honor your own uniqueness, never compare with yourself to anyone. Trust the strength of who you are, permit that strength to assist you during the weak moments (an inevitable occurrence).
Trust that part of you that’s not like anybody else, respect its Divine purpose. Accept the beauty of who you are and all that wonderful rarity that God has called YOU!
Believe in who you are. Cultivate what’s necessary, commit to nurturing your overall wellbeing.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
